"I would like to take this time to thank Joelle and share with other patients my first time experience with acupuncture treatments.

In the month of August, I suffered an injury to my neck. I was unable to turn my head and move my shoulder without severe pain. I was sent to physical therapy for three weeks, and at the end of that time, I had minimal relief. I was then asked if I would consider acupuncture. To be honest, I was afraid of being poked with needles and would have to think about it. I decided to try it because I was now not sleeping from the neck and shoulder pain. Not to mention that I was also suffering from menopausal hot flashes.

On my first day of acupuncture, I was so scared. Joelle was wonderful and reassuring. As she began to apply the needles, I noticed her gentleness and barely felt anything. Once the needles were in, I felt very relaxed and even fell asleep! When I awoke, Joelle focused on my shoulder. She asked that I try to rotate my shoulder. I was a little hesitant because it would hurt to move it. However, I did as she asked. As I began to rotate my shoulder, she began to manipulate one of the needles. As quickly as she moved the needle, I instantly got relief of pain and total movement of the shoulder. I was so excited and happy with this first time result, I couldn't believe it. As I continued treatments, I also found that it had decreased my hot flashes and allowed me to have a more restful sleep.

I now sleep at night and am free of pain. Once again, thank you for your help. I highly recommend acupuncture as an alternative therapy to conventional medicine and you as an outstanding health care professional."
